On a recent group coaching call, I got a number of big questions about how to heal from trauma. In the moment, I remembered how the simple practice of connecting with others and with ourselves can be a fundamental tool for healing. Connection can be healing. With that in mind, I responded by sharing the four key distinctions we try to make when we want to connect rather than disconnect in our communication and our relationships.

Connection can be healing.

With that in mind, I responded by sharing the four key distinctions we can make when we want to connect rather than disconnect in our communication and our relationships. (These come from Nonviolent Communication and the work of Marshall Rosenberg.)

And guess what…

This segment of the coaching call is now shared on my YouTube channel, and you can watch it here:

In the video, I elaborate on each part of this valuable framework and also mention some pitfalls and traps to look out for when putting them into practice.

I haven’t published a new video on my YouTube channel in quite a while, and since I know many of you discovered me that way, I thought you’d for sure want to check it out.

And you can look forward to more!

We hope to be sharing new videos there regularly – a new video every Friday at 10am CT, most often excerpts from my free weekly Q&A coaching call, Conversations from the Heart.

Speaking of, if you’re not already registered for Conversations from the Heart, you can do that here anytime. We meet on Wednesdays at 10am CT via Zoom, and it’s totally free. Once you register, you can drop-in for the live call at your convenience and/or watch the replay videos anytime you like.

Those Wednesday calls are a great introduction to my work, offering some conceptual clarity and roadmapping for living consciously, compassionately, and courageously. I hope you’ll tune in sometime and join the conversation!
